Building Healthy Places

The Center for Active Design is excited to announce the release of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) new toolkit for building professionals, Building Healthy Places Toolkit: Strategies for Enhancing the Built Environment. Funded by the Colorado Health Foundation and the estate of Melvin Simon.

This toolkit is a practical guide for real estate developers that expands on the growing practice of using health evidence to inform design thinking.

“It isn’t always obvious to real estate developers that they play a role in promoting public health. This publication bridges the knowledge gap by offering practical and implementable solutions that help our communities lead an active and healthy lifestyle.”

Joanna Frank, CEO, Center for Active Design
